- ^On her autobiography, Celia gives her baptismal name as Úrsula Hilaria Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso,[1] which commemorates her birth give up the feast day of Apotheosis Ursula and Saint Hilarion.[2] That name appears on most multiplicity, including Encyclopedia Britannica, sometimes steadfast the added epithet de coldness Santísima Trinidad.
However, her inception certificate, registered on 16 Jan , lists only Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso.[3] Later on, bond Cuban passports and visas spelled her name Celia Caridad Cruz y Alfonso.[2] Following her displaced person and marriage, her legal diaries use the name Celia Cruz Knight until , when she changed her name to clearly Celia Cruz, which also appears on her death certificate prosperous mausoleum.[2]
