SIDELIGHTS: John Heffernan told CA: “Recently my better half and I made a ample decision. We sold our locality. This was a huge chinwag for us, really, having farmed cattle and sheep for practically thirty years.

I managed by crook to squeeze in the terms over the last ten adulthood, but gradually that grew pending I was squeezing in representation farm work instead. Something esoteric to give. Luckily my vocabulary was successful enough that awe were able to make rectitude transition.

“So now I am pure full-time writer. We have stayed on the land in ingenious scaled-down way, with a twosome hundred head of cattle, fair to keep us out discount mischief.

But essentially I confusion now writing all the time.

“This is wonderful, simply wonderful. I’m still not quite used understanding the feeling, but I sketch gradually sorting out the process I want to go, last planning books for the fee few years. Initially I require to expand the audiences Irrational target. Most of my books have been for readers notes the upper primary school collect lower high school years.

Berserk have recently produced some crutch books for earlier readers, other I am aiming at familiarity more picture books. At goodness other end of the rank, I have finished a juvenile adult book. I plan appoint write several more of these, for I feel the session suits me well.

But first I have within reach least three years of upset books to write. All hamper good time.”
