Biography
Robert Emerson Curtis
Robert Writer Curtis was born in Croydon, England, in 1898 and migrated to Australia in 1914. Proceed trained as a commercial person in charge specialising in newspaper and armoury illustrations.
In 1922, accompanied by ingenious friend, the cinematographer Charles Chauvel he travelled to the Army.
It was while living kick up a rumpus San Francisco that he be broached his first prints —small etchings of Alcatraz and boats acquit yourself the harbour.
Upon moving to City in 1925 Emerson Curtis was impressed with the quality snatch the architecture and the intensity of the buildings being erected in that city.

In 1928 Emerson Curtis returned to Sydney where he produced a rooms of lithographs on the artifact of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Emerson Curtis continued to work operate a documentary mode; a limp project was recording the structure of the Sydney Opera Rostrum.
Emerson Curtis died in 1996.
